About Mentriva

Programmable settlement infrastructure for global trade

Cross-border transactions still run on fragmented systems and manual processes that slow execution, increase costs, and introduce operational risk. Mentriva brings logistics data, documentation, and settlement onto a single programmable platform so that trade can move with more speed and certainty.

From first interest to final release of funds, we coordinate the information and flows that sit between counterparties — giving traders, banks, logistics providers, and insurers a shared, reliable view of every transaction.

Our goal is simple

Make global trade faster, cheaper, and more reliable — by turning settlement into an automated, data-driven process instead of a chain of emails, PDFs, and manual approvals.

Focus
Programmable settlement for physical commodities and complex cross-border flows.
Model
Infrastructure-first: rails for events, documentation, custody, and payment.
Users
Traders, financial institutions, logistics providers, and insurers.
Recognition
Selected into UC Berkeley SCET programs and the SCET Catalyst incubator.

One system to execute a trade from start to finish

Mentriva provides the core rails to execute a transaction end-to-end, so that every step — from shipment to settlement — is connected and auditable.

Events & documents

Logistics and verification

  • • Shipment and milestone tracking across carriers and routes.
  • • Document checks using trusted data sources.
  • • Inspection results wired in as structured, machine-readable inputs.

Rules & automation

Programmable settlement

  • • Multi-leg settlement flows with clear conditions and approvals.
  • • Controlled release of funds based on verifiable trade events.
  • • Automated exception handling for delays, disputes, or re-routing.

Capital & yield

Financing and on/off-ramping

  • • Crypto on/off-ramps and stablecoin settlement where appropriate.
  • • Integrated access to financing, insurance, and ancillary services.
  • • Optimized yield on idle funds while trades are in-flight.

Built with precision and global ambition

Mentriva is designed as long-term financial infrastructure. The bar is reliability: if institutions are going to settle meaningful volumes through a new rail, it has to behave predictably across market cycles, jurisdictions, and counterparties.

The team blends experience in trade finance, blockchain engineering, and hands-on operational work in real-world markets. We develop the platform alongside traders, banks, logistics providers, and insurers to ensure it reflects actual workflows rather than idealized diagrams.

Being part of UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center and Catalyst incubator gives us access to a community of researchers, founders, and industry experts who care deeply about how digital infrastructure reshapes global trade.

What we optimize for

  • • Clear execution paths instead of opaque email threads.
  • • Fewer reconciliation headaches across banks and back-offices.
  • • Lower cost per trade thanks to automated checks and settlement.
  • • Better risk visibility through real-time data on positions and events.

Founding team

Mentriva is co-founded by Charles Kudelski and Gleb Zakhartchenko, combining backgrounds across finance, real assets, and technology.

Two founders for now — the team section will evolve as the company grows.

Help shape the rails for programmable trade

We're working with a focused group of partners to pilot programmable settlement in live trade flows. If this sounds like the future you want to operate in, we'd love to talk.
